Friends of IB Neighborhood Center
The Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center currently serves the Imperial Beach community in a variety of capacities.
- The Monthly Mass Food Distribution and Neighborhood Food Pantry helps those with food insecurities, serving well over 500 families each month.
- Saturday Showers for the unsheltered including showers, hygiene kits, clothing and sack lunches.
- Community Garden producing fresh produce to be given out at our Neighborhood Food Pantry.
- Sunday Worship Services seeking spiritual support.
Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center Executive Director, John Griffin-Atil, is working with a group of community members who support the IB Neighborhood Center called The Friends of IB Neighborhood Center. This is an association of individuals who volunteer their time and/or donate to the Center as it expands to serve the community.
Volunteer opportunities include: volunteering with Monthly Food Distribution, gathering clothing/supply donations from friends and neighbors and delivering to IBNC, volunteering for the Food Pantry and working with the Community Garden. You can sign up to volunteer or simply donate to their Charity. Or consider donating monthly to become an ongoing Sponsor.
