Executive Director, John Griffin-Atil
As Executive Director of the Neighborhood Center, John is focused on those in the community who are ‘slipping between the cracks’ with little to no support. He believes in the importance of doing, as Mother Theresa taught, “small things with great love.” John is a native of northwestern Kansas where he grew up on a family farm. Educated with a Bachelor in Religion and Philosophy from Kansas Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology; ordained in The United Methodist Church, his passion is social justice. He has served as pastor in Southern California since 1990 with being the pastor of the IB United Methodist Church from 1993-99 and 2013-2018.

In his work, he has championed various issues focused on an all-inclusive and just community. John’s work always begins with listening and openly welcomes conversation.

Administrative Assistant, Jose’ Griffin-Atil
