Saturday Shower Program

Volunteers who are fully vaccinated may choose not to wear face masks.

  • Open every Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 am in the Basement Hall.
  • We offer 10-minute military showers to all homeless individuals within the city of Imperial Beach.
  • Hygiene kits and new underwear & socks are available.
  • We have donated clothing for men, women and children as available.
  • Sack lunches also available.
  • Volunteers can get community service hours if needed.

Mass Food Distribution

Volunteers who are fully vaccinated may choose not to wear face masks.

  • Emergency Food Assistance Program run by Jacobs & Cushman’s San Diego Food Bank on the third Thursday of the month starting in January 2023.
  • Able-bodied volunteers are invited during the hours of 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
  • Food is distributed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the back parking lot.
  • Volunteer assignments as needed; help move food items before distribution, pre-bag food items prior to client distribution, runners for participants needing additional assistance, help store any remaining food items into our pantries & chest freezer, etc.
    Volunteers must sign the Volunteer Waiver of Liability prior to start of distribution.
  • Volunteers who meet eligibility may receive EFAP commodities as long as they are eligible per SDFB. New Volunteers are urged to sign up for the Oasis Insight Card to make getting food assistance easier.
  • This is free program with no ID required.
  • Volunteers are here to assist all participants being friendly & helpful.
  • Volunteers can get community services hours if needed.

The Neighborhood Food Pantry

Volunteers who are fully vaccinated may choose not to wear face masks.

  • FEEDING San Diego is our Agency Partner providing weekly staple foods items.
  • Food items from San Diego Food Bank & Grocery Outlet is also given out.
  • Walk-in participants may get food every week.
  • This is free program with no ID required.
  • Volunteers assist by restocking the shelves and other duties as assigned.
  • Volunteers can get community services hours if needed.
  • Appointments required.
    The Neighborhood Food Pantry Coordinator is Debra Benson.

Community Garden

  • Volunteers interested in Gardening are encouraged to sign-up.
  • San Diego Co-Harvest are in charge of the Community Garden.
  • Volunteers can get community services hours if needed.
