Saturday Shower Program

Volunteers are required to wear face coverings & gloves. COVID-19 No Contact Policy in place until further notice.

  • Open every Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 am in the Basement Hall.
  • We offer 10-minute military showers to all homeless individuals within the city of Imperial Beach.
  • We give out personal toiletry bags as requested.
  • We have donated clothing for men, women and children when available.
  • Lastly we give out ready to eat food items.
  • Volunteers can get community service hours if needed.

Mass Food Distribution

Volunteers are required to wear face coverings & gloves. COVID-19 No Contact Policy in place until further notice.

  • Emergency Food Assistance Program run by San Diego Food Bank once a month on the Thursday before the second Friday of each month.
  • Able-bodied volunteers are invited during the hours of 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
  • Food is distributed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the front parking lot.
  • Volunteers assignments as needed; help move food items before distribution, help distribution of food allocations from the pallets, runners for participants needing additional assistance, help store any remaining food items into our pantries & chest freezer, etc.
    Volunteers must sign the Volunteer Release Form prior to start of distribution.
  • Volunteers who meet eligibility may receive EFAP commodities as long as they are eligible per SDFB. New Volunteers are urged to sign up for the Oasis Insight Card to make getting food assistance easier.
  • This is free program with no ID required.
  • Volunteers are here to assist all participants being friendly & helpful.
  • Volunteers can get community services hours if needed.

The Center Food Pantry

Volunteers are required to wear face coverings & gloves. COVID-19 No Contact Policy in place until further notice.

  • Grocery Outlet sponsors this food pantry as well as local individual donations.
  • Walk-in participants may get as much food as they can carry once a week.
  • This is free program with no ID required.
  • Volunteers may assist by restocking the shelves.
  • Volunteers can also pick up food items from the Grocery Outlet to bring to our storage sheds, if you have a car and are interested.
  • Volunteers can get community services hours if needed.
  • Appointments required.

  • Volunteers interested in Gardening are encouraged to sign-up.
  • Dates & Hours TBA.
